i-DRILL™ is the result of an eight year, multimillion dollar R&D and Engineering effort that became a commercial entity in May. 2004. i-DRILL models, analyzes and predicts a drilling system’s performance and behavior through the use of highly sophisticated, proprietary Finite Element Analysis (FEA) computer programs. Currently, the company operates i-DRILL from its Houston, Texas and Stavanger, Norway facilities. The initial i-DRILL projects were done with major operators working in the North Sea, and as a result of these successes the service has expanded to encompass operators in the Middle East, as well as in both North and South America.
 

Smith Realtime Service is a relatively new entity that offers realtime monitoring of well data and providing key realtime services like:

    1. Hole cleaning
    2. Drill Ahead Parameters
    3. 2-D BHA Analysis
